3 Ways To Lose Weight The Right Way
Spring is only 6 weeks away. Which means sunshine, swimsuits & sunglasses are righttttt around the corner. If you’re like me, you spend the majority of winter indoors, catching up on your favorite shows & eating snacks... aka your spring beach bod is in no way ready for its’ debut.
While I’m not quite ready to hand over the cornbread & chili, I’m starting my spring diet off now with one simple solution: Drinking More Water.
Everyone knows water is awesome, but did you know it can help you lose weight?! Here are a few tips:
1. Drink 3 glasses of water before eating. Ideally, 30 minutes before. The water helps satiate your appetite, which in turn helps you make better choices while eating & maybe even eat less overall! Also, it will help you step away from the soda or other sugary drinks.
2. Water increases your Metabolism! According to this study, drinking an extra 16oz of water per day can increase your metabolic rate by up to 30%! Next time you want a glass of water, drink two instead!
3. When you are feeling the afternoon slump, try drinking a glass of cold water! Dehydration is often disguised as fatigue; and you’re going to need energy to make it to the gym after work. It’s also a much better choice than that 2pm candy bar.
